Sung to the tune of “My Favorite Things.”)
Premo and Kato and Pardo and Cernit;
It’s a new oven, so try not to burn it.
We’ve got our pasta machines and our clay,
Ready to do some mokume today!
Get your translucent rolled out on a seven.
(Barbara’s machine prob’ly goes to eleven. )
Try not to let your gold leaf fly away.
Ready to do some mokume today!
When the blade slips; when the ink drips;
When I’m getting mad,
I simply remember my giant clay stash,
And then I don’t feel so bad!
Lag bolts and Legos and rollers and stampers,
Kitchen utensils and espresso tampers,
Screwdriver bits that were not put away;
They’ll all be used for mokume today.
Seventeen colors I leached and I sheeted.
Zoom is all set and my sound check completed.
(My) clay desk is now in complete disarray,
but I’m going to do some mokume today!
When the blade slips; when the ink drips;
When I’m getting mad,
I simply remember my giant clay stash,
And then I don’t feel so bad!
