LUCY ŠTRUNCOVÁ
Lucy Štruncová is a force of nature. At a young age, she has already galvanized the polymer clay community world-wide through her artwork, publishing, event organizing, spotlighting of other polymer artists, and product development.
Her polymer artwork incorporates in her own words “colors, simplicity, clean lines, and geometric shapes.” She is also, among other things, a painter and photographer.
Lucy is the driving force behind the Polymer Week Magazine. Each beautifully designed issue, available in both print and digitally, is a feast of interviews, tutorials, artist spotlights, and gorgeous photos. She even published a book in 2019 featuring 27 polymer artists called “A New Generation of Polymer Clay.”
Lucy and her team have produced many online and in-person events, drawing participants from all over the world. She publishes additional written and video interviews and tutorials on the Polymer Week website, and hosts a series of live events with a variety of polymer artists which benefit the Samunnat Women of Nepal (https://samunnat.co/).
She has also developed a range of polymer-related products including silkscreens, texture stamps, stencils, pigments, and blades. All are carefully designed and beautifully packaged.
Perhaps above all, Lucy is warm, supportive, and has a gracious presence. She’s devoted herself to gathering and lifting up the polymer community!
