At the close of the 2021 Polymer Art Summit, the organizing team decided that we needed to do more for the polymer community and decided to use some of the budget as a donation to a polymer-centric group or organization.
Choosing a recipient was not easy but we are pleased to announced that Darren Aiken, of Pretoria, South Africa, is the recipient of the first PAS Giving Back Grant.
Darren is passionate about polymer clay and it’s potential in educational settings. He runs workshops with children in the area, and has plans to get polymer clay into schools and other organizations that work with communities that struggle with employment, education, and poverty.
Here are a few updates from Darren on his programs.
