ALICE STROPPEL

Abstract Exploration – Polymer Clay

In this session we will be using texture and color to create abstract wall pieces in polymer clay These wall pieces are so much fun to make and require very few tools and supplies. They can be framed or simply mounted on board or canvas. They can be very large or a small postcard size. I’ve used the scraps from these projects to make jewelry.

Students will explore the possibilities of larger polymer textual pieces: experiment with texture on polymer by using fabric, stamps and everyday items; explore layers and add bits of 3D clay, canes or surface treatments.
